They are arguing again. Not about me, exactly — about whose turn it is to make me coffee, which somehow has become a matter of ancient supernatural honor.
The vampire insists he called it. The wolf says the vampire cannot even drink coffee, which is fair. The demon has simply made three cups to end the debate and is looking extremely pleased with himself.
Six months ago I would have been asked to choose one of them. These days they choose me, all of them, every morning — and today, apparently, they choose which one of them gets to hand me the mug.
