I have interviewed nine witches for the position of My Human. Eight failed on the tuna question.
The ninth — the new one, with the anxious smile and the sensible boots — passed without knowing she was being tested. She left the window open. She apologized to a doorframe. She cried at a commercial about a dog.
Acceptable. I have decided to keep her. She will believe it was her idea, which is how all the best arrangements work.
